Mr. Holly is an experienced corporate executive and director, having served in upstream public energy companies over the last 25 years. Most recently, Mr. Holly served as the Chairman, President and CEO of Whiting Petroleum where he was instrumental in transitioning the company into a low-cost, financially sound consolidator of assets. Prior to his role at Whiting, Mr. Holly was the Executive Vice President of Anadarko’s U.S. Onshore assets and served for more than 20 years developing Anadarko from a small independent business to one of the country’s largest independent oil and gas producers. Mr. Holly is an operational and strategic leader with a proven track record of creating value.
Mr. Holly understands the energy value chain and has managed upstream, midstream, supply chain, sustainability and EH&S businesses. His involvement ranges from day-to-day operations management through strategic direction and portfolio management of extensive portfolios in every major U.S. basin. Mr. Holly has the unique ability to engage and work effectively with anyone from field-level employees through middle management up to the executive boardroom, consistently communicating an executable and winning strategy. He has worked extensively on regulatory and government affairs negotiations in oil and gas operations and particularly excels in creating cost efficiencies and improving performance of oil and gas assets.
