Prior to joining Province in 2017, Ms. Tchoi was an in-house distressed analyst for Weil, Gotshal & Manges. She was responsible for leading, overseeing and implementing the strategic initiatives of the firm’s Business Finance & Restructuring Department, including the analysis of potential clients and strategic assessments of industry sectors for the firm to concentrate its efforts.
Prior to joining Weil, Ms. Tchoi spent several years at the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation in Washington D.C., working in their Corporate Finance & Restructuring group. In this role, she determined creditworthiness, analyzed solvency, conducted evaluations of business plans and held negotiations with companies with pension obligations. Ms. Tchoi also represented the PBGC on numerous unsecured creditors’ committees of relevant debtor cases, including Energy Futures Holdings, Reichold Holdings, Scicom Data and Freelance Star.
Prior to the PBGC, Ms. Tchoi worked at Fortress Investment Group LLC on its Credit Funds team.
