Mr. Darnold has over 30 years of experience in corporate finance, supply chain, M&A and business improvement. Mr. Darnold’s hands on experience includes a broad range of multi-disciplinary corporate and property improvement and new capabilities initiatives in finance, treasury, procurement, marketing, HR and IT.
Mr. Darnold held senior leadership positions for Boyd Gaming Corporation and was Senior Vice President of Business Improvement and stewarded most of Boyd’s operational and structural improvement initiatives. His experience includes leadership roles in multiple M&A transactions including the planning and integration of the new properties' people, processes and systems. Mr. Darnold also oversaw many of the structural changes to the Company as it grew from four to twenty-nine properties. His experience is diverse and includes the design and development of a 100,000 sq. foot laundry facility which is the only commercial laundry to obtain LEED certification as well as creating a Captive Insurance Company in Hawaii to manage risk and develop new revenue streams for Boyd.
Mr. Darnold is currently a member of the Clark County School District’s Oversight Panel for School Facilities which is responsible for approving renovation and construction of school facilities and the financing to pay for capital improvements. He was past Chair and Trustee for the Culinary Union Pension Trust, a $2 billion Taft Hartley Plan and past chair of the American Gaming Associations Finance and Tax Committee.
Mr. Darnold was a Principal for RKD & Company and serviced clients in manufacturing, trucking and logistics before joining Province. He is also a Professor at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas teaching courses in the Lee Business School.
