Mr. Stires has varied experience across non-investment grade credit, corporate valuation, and quantitative investment management. He is skilled at developing tactical workarounds to automate large and involved processes.
Prior to working at Province, Spencer researched text-based alpha signals in high-yield credit for Neuberger Berman, developed leveraged loan portfolio optimization tools for Invesco, facilitated capital raising efforts for Skyworks Aeronautics and taught corporate valuation and capital structure as a graduate teaching assistant at the University of Chicago. He has also conducted distressed credit research for both academic and private institutions and published analysis and commentary on bankruptcy issues.
